This first trailer for the Nov. 1 release paints the picture of a movie that will chart the famed abolitionist and freedom fighter's life. Starting with her early years — Tubman was born into slavery, in Maryland — and on through her escape, the formation of the Underground Railroad, and the American Civil War.
